THIS IS ONLY 1 BROOCH!!! - in 2 views.

Finally one of my latest school works is done. To be precise, finished today.

The task was simple: a brooch with a set stone.

And what did I idiot do? The only thing I had in mind whe being asked were fireflies because the radio in the workshop had played this song by Owl City some minutes before. Fortunately my teacher hadn't heard it.

But still I got myself into something I'd never expected.

Yes, this brooch really glows ^^)

No problem. I like to help. Though the class is more than interesting and I don't want to put you down, but we had a woman from Italy at the beginning who spoke hardly any word German. She didn't have any problems with following though, but as we have theoretical lessons like(and especially because of that) Art History, she had to give up It's very sad as she was more than nice and really talented.

But if there is nothing in France and you like to go abroad, I think you'll best try in Munich. There are classes in English too I think and they are really just for art and making jewellery art with the principle of a total workshop. There are also possibilities in London, like the Royal College of Arts.

A hot tip is Otto KΓΌnzli. He teaches in Munich and London. One of my teachers studies in his class as well for improving. And he's about 60. So you see, there are no limits for studying art and jewellery. You'll find something for sure. Also in France. Just search, go for it and most of all, stay being yourself and don't let yourself be put down if something doesn't work immediately. So, good luck to you.

In fact, I live in Corsica, a little island in the Mediterranean sea, and there are no jewellery schools here... But luckily enough, there's some schools in France ^^ . I think I'll try to learn the basics in France first and then go abroad to specialize, so thank you very much for your advice, I won't forget .

Corsica! Such a beautiful place. My mother's been there and, being my mother, she took so many photos nobody can look at them all on one single day ^^ When I saw them I wished I could have been with her. But yes, if there would have been anything bigger in terms of jewellery, she would have told me. She also asked me whether to go to Tenerife or not for pearling as there are lots of goldsmiths there who make wonderful jewellery with pearls or stones they found.

And - no problem. I like to help where I can

I didn't know about Tenerife, so, do you plan to go there ?
Yes, Corsica is really a beautiful island, we have some magnificent landscapes here, with the mountains so close to the sea... I understand why your mother couldn't stop taking pictures . Don't hesitate if you can come to visit, I think you won't be disappointed .
There is a quite famous jeweller that lives not so far from me, Mr Orsini. You seem to really love jewellery so I thought you might be interested to discover his works:

For my part, I like a lot his "Sirène sur Améthyste" .

Maybe I will. If I have enough money - so, some time after I finished school. There are so many places I'd like to visit and the thought whether I'd be able to see them before people destroy these places makes me kinda sad.

Thanks for the link. There's some really good stuff in his gallery. I think my favourite of this collection is "Au creux de ma main"

Thank you so much! And yes, it took me quite long. I had to overthink the concept some times while making it. It's pretty complicated and my English is still not good enough to explain how I made it Sorry
