Day 8 of my challenge, the goal is to submit a new infrared picture every day for the whole summer.Taken with my new infrared ZS6, possibly the best handling I've gotten out of any IR point and shoot, better even than the older DSLRs.

The darkness of the sky is really throwing me for a loop. But I love the photograph.

yea, this is the only way to see it. And no, their just normal, green leaves. They just come out white in infrared.

...So how does the picture get modified so we can see it?

its a special camera that records infrared.

But the picture has to get modified at some point, otherwise we wouldn't be able to see it.

the camera's red green and blue pixels are sensitive to IR as well. What you get is this type of result.

Is that why the sky is that weird dark blue color?
