This is a waist up, digitally painted commission with a simple background for which she bought during my Christmas Commission sale. collaborated on it with me.This is Círa, Claire's character. It was great fun to draw, she is a fascinating and mysterious character!
I painted Círa and the background, while ~CobraVenom painted the absolutely adorable polar bear cub, as well as the fur cuffs and shawl. She also helped edit the hair and lighting. Go check out her gallery! She is a great animal artist
It was a challenging image. I've never painted a background like this before and I'm really happy with it

While everything was completed painted by hand with the exception of the texture on some parts of the clothes, I did use references....
I used my own photo reference for Círa and the jacket sleeves.
The cub and background was drawn with the help of references.

The textures of the gown and its folds are just lovely. Her hair flows so naturally too.
She looks like she's a very wistful peaceful type of soul;you brought that out clearly in her expression and her eyes. And that cub is so cute!

This is.. Wow.. I got nothing bad to say about it.. Really..!
Normally i got something bad in my head about everything(yeah, I'm a bad person XD) but not this time o-o'
I mean, the bear and the girl.. and the background! Everything is great, can't see anything to write a Critique about ^^
All the small details are great, I've looked at it for long time now for "study" about there was something "missing", but no, you got everything perfectly..
I must say, great job, this deserve to be seen, no, you deserve to be seen c:

yes very good job though the best of it is that yor collaboration really meshed well so it's nice to see it seemless-like (styling is in some ways similar despite the different expertise)

Ooh, sorry it's taken me so long to get back to comment properly -- I will do that in just a minute, but for now I have to do my FLAILY HAND thing and say how much I absolutely adore this commission. It's just absolutely fabulous in so many ways, from the exquisite detailing of the clothing to her amazing eyes to the gorgeous fur to the cute-as-anything little bear to the haunting background...yes.
