As I walked out onto the balcony, each step carefully placed so as not to trip over my own ornate gown, the sound turned into a muffled background noise in my ears. I concentrated on each step, blocking out the environment around me. The cape I wore weighed down on my shoulders, like a physical representation of the metaphorical weight that was about to be dropped on me. It was almost like the world was mocking me. What I would give to be back in my normal clothes... clothes that I could actually move in.
A man was speaking next to me, and suddenly my thoughts were distracted as he raised his voice, and the crowd below followed suit in thunderous cheers.
A chill went through me as I realised it was done. The weight was already pressing down on me. There I stood, nineteen years old, my father dead, and I had just been named Queen.

I've been working on that wonderfully complicated outfit design for a long time now The first design was completed quite a while ago.

These are designs for a character in a new story that was inspired by a dream I had. It's set in a sci-fi/fantasy world and features the young, lively Akina who is forced to become the queen of her kingdom at a tender age when her father dies.
She is forced to flee when her life in put in danger, accompanied by her bodyguard Brecht. They meet up with the young, impoverished boy Taylan, a mysterious man named Fox, and the outlaw Jarek.
