Thanks.
However, it's a Blackbird in looks only. Internally, it's a brand new machine.

Hey, I was praising for the concept; still, good mods by you nonetheless.

Since it's a two-seater, I went with "Blackbird II." If it was a one-seater, then I would've gone with "Oxcart II."

Well, the "Blackbird" name is more famous than "OXCART" anyway.

Also, if you haven't noticed, those are thrust-vectoring engine nozzles, so its turn rate would be improved, along with reaction-control thrusters at high altitudes.
The Roadrunner Squadron itself is based on the real-life squadron [link] .

Well, the design itself of the A-12 doesn't allow for much maneuvrability. Take in account those intake spikes and the speed it goes; but I find the designation to be an interesting nod to both aircraft.

The designation is just a combination of YF-12 and A-12, although it could (theoretically) launch standoff AGMs (the abortive AGM-76 was derived from the AIM-47 carried by the Blackbird).
Its primary roles would still be reconnaissance and interception.
