Description Another from my older necklaces. My own design.

I had some grey Gütermann rocailles 9/0 and didn't know what to do with them. I started experimenting and combining with some other beads I had at home and this was the result.

Gütermann rocailles 9/0, in pearly grey and garnet red, and black bugles; a barrel clasp and cotton thread.

I've read somewhere that bugles can cut the thread... until now I've had no problems, but is there any solution for that?

I've featured this necklace in my bugle beads projects feature [link]

Very pretty! The best suggestion I can make is to make sure you bugle bead isn't chipped or broken. I have never had a problem with the C-Lon and bugle bead except once and it was because the bugle was broken on one edge.

Thank you!
I've seen some spirals made with bugles and was tempted to try one , but I was afraid of having troubles with them...

You're welcome! I have attempted the bugle spiral as well, several times, and it is super easy and goes together quickly. I really should finish one of those. Matter of fact I started one just last week, but didn't like my instructions LOL

If they are quick and easy to do and look that great, now I really want to give them a try

Gorgeous collar! I love the colour of the beads...is it the photo but they look bluey grey?

I either put a seed bead either side of the bugle or use fireline thread which I think is like fishing line so is very strong. Some people condition their thread with beeswax which coats it and makes it stronger.

I think that must be the scanning, the real colour is very pearly... I usually wear it over a black turtleneck, since my skin is very fair and there is not much contrast. And then the lower part of the necklace seems to be floating over the shirt...

I never had a problem with bugles, but I've only used them 3 times, I think.

Thank you for the fav
