My first try with a beaded cabochon Actually, my first try with a cabochon at all. A Saint Petersburg chain in blue iris beads will be attached to it, but I haven't finished it yet.

I just loved the cab the first time I saw it online. Blue isn't exactly my colour, but it seemed such a rich colour that I ended up buying it.

The picture failed to capture all the shades of the cab and the blue iris beads, but it was the best I could do. The beads have a more "metallic" look...

I like to think this is something an evil queen or sorceress would wear *evil laugh*

Details: 30x22 mm Crystal Heliotrope Swarovski cabochon, 11/0 black and blue iris seed beads, Swarovski 4 mm jet bicones, black C-Lon.

The name means "deep lake" in Latin.
