I'm thinking he's a mutt- like... a spaniel/portuguese water dog mix of some sort. His ears DEFINITELY remind me of a cocker spaniels'. ;3
Oh mann, but they are SO worth the money.
If anything, I'd suggest at least getting yourself a set of cool greys (there's 10 total, ranging from 10% to black) at least get about 5 of those. They're great, and they're definitely the prismas that I use the most out of all the ones I have. Because when you can't do color, greyscale is lovely. <3
I'm actually wanting copics now, which are pretty much twice the price of prismas. They're insanely expensive, but insanely amazing. I have two. xD

I heard of Copics, too. There are pros and cons to both of the marker brands, but I forget which fits in where. P: I am actually thinking of saving up for some, perhaps buying them over the internet (seeing as we have little art stores where I live, and in them; they sell mostly crafts.)

aw he is a cutie!!! makes me think of my beagle, who sits outside our door and looks up miserably until someone lets her in...i would much rather have a purple/gray dog than the beagle...
i must say though, being a more of a cat person and not so fond of dogs, this is one of the few times where i like your characters in their human form than animal...schennie was adorable as a human!!!!
