Well i got the strength up today to go and take some shots seeing as its such a beautiful day here, screw having the flu!Just experimenting with angles, i know just tilting it slightly isn't much but it doesn't add that bit more to it.
Photoshop: Levels, Photo Filter, Dust removal

A very beautiful scene, and the askew perspective and gives it that "I cant stop looking at it"-strength. The colors as well, are amazing.

Thank you. Angles are hard elements to add to a photograph, it has to be one of the main ideas and have a lot of emphasis on it otherwise it wont work, ive done a few which have turned out badly before now aswell

Again, I like the angle you used. You turned it to such an angle to make it interesting. Some people just angle it a little and it just doesn't work--almost takes away from the piece. Seems like if you're going to do an angle, you either have to go big or go home as they say.

I tryed making the angle the main part of the shot. So getting the composition of the lake and reeds how i liked using the angle. I agree, if your going to add an angle it cant be any old how, but be key to the overall composition of the shot.

Thanks, the cloud was naturally really bright as it was relfecting the sun, couldnt lower exposure otherwise id loose the detail in the main focal points, and i didnt want to do any major editing in photoshop.

ah smart idea to show it on a slant.. gives the viewer a sort of challenge in the horizon, i really like this, nice colors, good green/yellowish hue.

The angle actually adds a lot of interest to a photograph that has the potential to be quite boring. BUT its not! The detail is fantastic. The filter you have added is perfect and you have managed to expose for some very harsh lighting perfectly. Great job. You have some skills i can tell you.

Thanks, i felt the same way about the angle, ive taken so many shots from this location and position before and they were boring, it needed something extra, even if it was just a camera tilt

i love the colours. did you take the shot without the slanted horizon? i'm wondering if ppl like the shot BECAUSE of the slant, or because it's a nice photo/composition/colour contrast. i like it because of the colours, not the slant, but that may just be me. great work though!

thanks for the comment. I have about 15 different versions of this shot, and a couple not slanted but they are composed slightly different according to the position of the waters edge, i didnt think they came out too well and lacked something, and with the slant i could fit more important subject matter into the shot and it added something, but it wasnt intended to be the main emphasis of the shot, and i like that you like the composition and colour contrast because thats why i like it
