The Kar98k (Karabiner 1898 Kurz) is a bolt-action rifle and variant of the Mauser 98 rifle that was released back in 1898. First issued back in 1935, the Kar98k was issued to the Wehrmacht just in time for World War 2. Alongside the MP40, German troops utilized this as a long ranged weapon.

This weapon was actually made because the leader of Nazi Germany Adolf Hitler liked how the original weapon functioned during WW1. It was then that this weapon continued service during WW2 and even after remains a very popular weapon.
