Description Elf to shopkeeper,
'Look mate I bought six of these off you yesterday so I could cook an omelette and look what they've done to my bleedin hair!!! I demand a full refund...or else!'

This is the first watercolor painting I've done since about 2000. I just got a new set and had the urge to do a bit of traditional painting. I tweaked the color slightly in photoshop but avoided too much retouching as I wanted to show the raw painting.

I may add one digitally later. At the moment I am quite happy with the painting and don't want to risk ruining it.

Very well dove for traditional Patrick! Everything is perfect, only the face has too much extra lines, i would make it a bit "cleaner". Ps The hand and knife rock!

It was originaly going to be a dragons egg, then I thought that would be a bit obvious.

I like traditional work alot (I cant do it But I used to watch my dad paint for hoooours and see the creations form) So thanks for sharing this one!

I also like the colours you used... what is he whinging about his hair for? I think it suits him heehee

I've felt that delivering menace in watercolours would be quite the challenge, but you've pulled it off with perspective and shadow .. and those iceblue eyes ~

Thanks! I know what you mean- watercolour is such a gentle medium it generaly conveys a light unthretening mood.

Thanks mate I had a lot of fun getting hands on with the paint. I shall be doing some more in the future and probably mixing in a bit more digital too.
