thanks guys for the comments and critiques! If I re-do this I might omit the rifle altogether. It was in the original reference photos I took but I think the creature might have evolved beyond that.

Then again, I can't see the bottom, so maybe it's all custom or not even a rifle at all.

this is pretty slick! really cool portrait of quite a scary guy. the mood and tones are wonderful; they work so well with this guy. the only thing i might say is that i would like to see it a bit more refined and cleaned up around his shoulders, specifically on his left arm. i feel like it's a bit sketchy at the moment and could use a little nip & tuck. although, this is great; like i said wonderful mood. :)
