As wwIII progressed, materials for military gear became harder and harder to come by and manufacture....on the 48th year of the war swords are re-enstated as standard combat weapons, and a new dark age officialy begins

so its not only pushing a button to kill an enemy. is that supposed to be a dead branch in the upper left? that would bring the idea of a dead nature within the picture.

Decahedron- biological weapons are still being used, hence the gazzmask.
as for guns, they are melted down because after mass bombings of ammo plants, bullets are too scarce to make guns viable weapons anymore!
(I also thought it was sort of symbolic of the decline of civilization, and a regression to more primitive times)

I like the picture; the whole sword thing is an interesting idea. You would just have to explain why the shortage of metal was used to make swords instead of guns and why nuclear and biological weapons aren't being used.
