Description
Because current flag of Croatia is impracticable without coat of arms that differentiates it from flags of the Netherlands and Paraguay. Current Croatian flag has three stripes in Pan-Slavic colors , in addition red-white is for Croatia proper and white-blue is for Slavonia . Actually modern Croatian tricolor originates from mix of these flags , which omits Dalmatia and Istria! Thus I decided to add golden stripe, so blue-golden is for Dalmatia . Current CoA of Croatia includes also small CoAs of Dubrovnik and Istria, but it is not needed here, because Dubrovnik is part of Dalmatia and flag of Istria has colors that already are in this deviation. I have no proposal for CoA of Croatia, current one is good. However, it is not ethnic symbol, because it covers only area of Croatia and not Croats abroad. Pure chessboard is the best Croatian symbol, but I proved to make Croatian flag without it. This flag was already published here . I was not aware of this twin when creating it.
