EDIT: OMG I ALMOST FORGOT. Since I haven't drawn anyone giftart in way too long because I suck, I dedicate this pic to a bunch of people who are a lot better at Naruto fanart than me:

The only thing more sadly, pathetically adorable than little Gaara - is little Gaara with tanuki ears and tail. Oh yes. So I was going to draw just little Gaara at first, but my brain has been driving me crazy with the need to smush Naruto and Gaara together (although this is not technically a smushing-together pic, since they're like - six/seven years old in it). Besides - you can't really have a tanuki-Gaara without a kitsune-Naruto, can you? And I love Naruto rather more than I love Gaara anyway. XD

So - yeah. This was supposed to be just a quick pic, but it took me forever anyway and is still full of mistakes and things, which you needn't point out, I know they're there. DAMNED CEL-SHADING SHOULD JUST DIE - though curiously enough, their hair (which is usually the hardest part for me to cel-shade) was really fairly easy to shade - of course, it was such a bitch to draw all that spiky hair, I must have erased and redrawn Gaara's ten times if not more. I had a cool background idea, but it didn't work out, so I just did a crappy cop-out one with brushes from #asunder and a couple from [link] instead.

Kitsune and tanuki are free animals, who are in no way responsible for the weird stories the Japanese come up with about them and the strange people that artists attach their ears and tails to. X3

EDIT AGAIN: Fixed up a couple of teeny little bits in the shading that were making me want to stab myself in the eyes.
