Description
was taking a break from commissions yesterday and did these two drawings. The one on the left is pencil and the one on the right is ballpoint.the one on the right is my fav. I did the left first and was still warming up, so to speak.
I'm being very bad and ignoring my messages. I'm sorry. There are just so many and I don't feel up to it.

I like the softness of the right one, it's glorious, powerful, and radiant, and yet the one on the left is ragged, dark, and ugly. (IMO it's just as lovely.

I don't know. I kind of like the one on the left better. I don't see how artists draw with nothing but a pen. I'm mistakes prone.

Perhaps you just like the feathers more. Myself, I've always loved the scaly/leathery set more, so of course the pencil is my favorite. But they're both outstanding, and the big "wow" I always get when someone says something's done with ball-point, is how unforgiving a medium I take it to be. I mean, I know how I doodle, and when I do something with a pen, it stays there! So mistakes are permanent things in my mind. Hence I'm always awestruck by the majesty that's a perfect BPP drawing.

These are beautiful. Beautiful enough that the last dragon I drew appears to take after your ballpoint drawing there. I feel that inspiration credit is due, even if mine isn't nearly so impressive. I'll probably post it no matter what, but I would certainly feel better if it were with permission... so may I?

They're both marvelous! Your drawings always have such details. The look like they can just fly out of the screen.

I love the flow and movement of these two pieces, especially the one on the right. It seems to be dancing in space, and its body is full of emotion and rhythm. Amazing detail and absolutely lovely work!

i always wanted to draw in this much detail. do u have any refrences or do u think it all in your mind? Your a real genius
i really try to work in more detail for my own work. I can see it for the most part, but not so much put it on paper.
I can draw figures, and make them look good, but for the most part they look like the third or 4th step of your lion.

I didn't have any kind of reference, no, but I was using the hours and hours I've spent drawing directly from photos, certainly. I had to build up my art vocabulary, after all.

The one on the right looks JUST like my character (except she's got two sets of wings because--hey! feathers don't get enough love! Hah). That's awesome, though. I loves them both
