Description
Drawn in my new sketchbook with my new col-erase pencils.1st page--I think I gave this dragon my rat's ears. I used not to like the eastern types with their puffy mustaches and thick mammal lips and so on, but they've really grown on me. I keep drawing goofier and goofier dragons. Soon they'll be wearing horn-rimmed glasses and plaid pants.
2nd page-- might not even qualify as a dragon. More like a stoat/fox/lizard. Also very goofy. But not the glasses kind. Perhaps the finger-painting kind. Also random heads.
3rd page--snooty looking dragons. They look down their noses at goofy dragon one and two for being totally plebeian and 'too damned noisy' whilst sipping highballs out of crystal.
4th page--Twisty, wormy dragons are fun. So are crazy not-goat horns. I want to revisit both of these. I like right dragon's snub nose, though it reminds me strangely of Sean Astin, who I despise utterly. He needed to stay 13 and be a goonie forever.

Wow. I am always amazed at your grasp on animal anatomy. Even in made-up dragons it really shows. I wish I could do stuff like that, whenever I get too far away from cartoony, everything gets really stiff, but your creatures look like they have real... urm, muscles and bones and fur/feather coverings and yet you can still keep them fluid and appealing.
Just... thought I'd say that.

I thought of doing something similar once. I had an idea to try to draw dragon/animal crosses as a way to "find" other species of dragons. I was too lazy in the end. I like the way yours came out. Keep expiramenting!

I like the foxy dragon. That's a really cute pose, too. And I love the pose for the last dragon on the left. It looks kind of like he's using his wings to hold himself up. XD

I like dragon #2, it's like a giraffe/ kangaroo/bat hybrid. All the dragons have such expressive faces, and I love that they are fluffy instead of scaly (#1's face is fluffy, if that counts). Very fun sketches.
