Description
This one is a drawing for a drawing contest at school! We had to draw something in a manga style but we were free to choose what so I ended drawing a kind of Geisha with a flowery outfit because flower are pretty ^^Related content

The theme of the constest was manga! When I saw it I was really happy! The contest wasn't organized by the teachers but by the students from our kind of "student council" I don't really know how to explain... So I guess it is why it is manga but I totally agree with you! Seeing a manga contest in a school even one wich doesn't have anything art related, is refreshing! ^w^

Yeah the patterns were pretty long to draw (the worse was the colouring though...) I'm happy you like it! I wanted to give traditional japanese feels with the background and the hair ^^ I'm happy to see that the whole drawing looks great together ^^

Oh I see .. ;-; In my case the lineart is the worst, colouring only takes me a lot of time when I do it with markers

Really? Personally I like doing lineart better (and it takes me less time too), colouring is harder and I ofter think my drawing was better when there wasn't any colours XD
Yeah! Markers take a lot of time to use but at least it looks good! Which is your favourite colouring technique?

I always think my drawings look the best when they are sketches .. so I feel you.
Watercolours, also because it takes much less time than others for me, but I also like the effect of markers combined with pencils. And your fav way are markers?

Yeah! Sometimes I feel that my drawings are wasted by the colouring....
Nope! My favourite is watercolours too and coloured inks ! I feel like it is the only ways my drawings look good with colours ^^'
Markers are great too but more for designs or characters/ chibis (because unfortunately on background it gives something weird but I think it is just my brand of markers because I tried with others and it give something completely different! (Or I'm just really bad with these....))

I have mostly graph'it markers and three promarkers and I must say that promarkers are better and softer, and it blends better but graph'it are good anyway! ^^

Hmm I see^^ Honestly I've never used anything else besides promarkers so I don't really have the opportunity to compare them... ( because in my city there's one shop with art supplies and they only have promarkers XD and since I liked the effect I didn't look for other online ^^')

I see! I have a shop with art supplies near where I live but they didn't have any markers so I had to look for these online (even if my parents are against buying things online) but since I have them (so one year by now) two shops with art supplies opened in the same area and they sell promarkers so I wanted to see the difference!

OMG they only accepted to buy them online because they always struggle with my Christmas gift, I never ask anything so they were surprised when I finally asked some markers!
Yeah! We can say that I was really excited when they opened! And like I can buy my school supplies there, I have some opportunities to go there! XD
I have a lot of graph'it (since there was a Christmas offer so it costs less money and they still didn't want to buy online too often XD) so I don' t think I'll buy many promarkers but if I do, I'll do it ^^
