Typhoons in a storm, it doesn't get any better than this. Great work.

Too bad Hawker never came up with an aircraft called the Cyclone.Β It would have fit the stormy family.

Rain drop splatters make it look like the plane isn't moving.

It gives the scene more details. I think the sense of speed is easily to catch

Actually no it gives very little sense of speed. Raindrops fall down almost vertically so the camera must be stationary. Then the fighter should have some amount of motion blur on it, but it doesn't. Which is fine for an imaginary camera with infinitesimal shutter timing, but that erases all sense of motion. At the same time, the prop has a lot of motion blur on it. And yet again the prop cone has none. And finally the raindrops, they have strong motion blur while falling, but they splash off aircraft surfaces in such fashion as if it was stationary. The picture has very little motion cues in general, and those that it has conflict with cues suggesting that things are stationary.
If raindrops were coming almost horizontally with very long blur lines and the splashes would arc backwards, then it would mostly be fine (rotor sheath would also need motion blur just like the prop blades).

Thanks for your feedback. Thereβs always a trade off between your own artistic style and physically perfection. I like the way of the rain and the splashes to have more details on the scene. And I intentionally decided against more motion blur to have it at the minimum and have more of the scenery. The prop cone by the way has motion blur because itβs also animated. You just donβt have a lot of visible motion blur on the tip of the cone.
Looking forward to your approach!

Beautiful piece of work. Although weather like that usually grounded aircraft during WWII...

Not necessarily. There are a lot of report of flights through severe weather. The weather above the target area and at returning to the airfield had been more important factors than en route

Imagining the panzers fleeing for the nearby forest....a rocket in the rear or top will clobber anything.
