Thanks hon!Β I always do the background first, regardless of the media.Β For me, background is important in determining how the subject is shaded.Β Dunno if that's an actual thing about art, but it's how I like to do it. XD

You're welcome! Β I've heard of a couple of other people doing the background first, and it makes a lot of sense. Β The lighting in the background will affect how the subject is shaded.
