Salutations! I mostly write MLP:FiM fanfiction, but I also occasionally butcher paper with attempts at art. I really miss your stories. You are one of the best fanfiction writers I have ever seen in my life. Many have left, and the new blood can't, as much as I hate to sound like a nostalgic grandpa shaking his walking stick, really match the ones who came before them. Your stories where nice and fluffy, and they matched the tone of the show in a way unparalleled by other authors.
At this point, I kinda doubt your interest in the show will return. But thank you for all the wonderful pony words you wrote. You provided hours and hours of entertainment, warm fluffy feelings and many an enjoyable reread. Really, just... thank you.

A bit late of a reply, but your words are very kind. I actively try to avoid nostalgia personally, as well, and I would never presume to be better than any other writer. At the same time, well. I am currently in the process of shaking off dust, see what comes of it and all that, yeah?
For what it's worth, I never lost interest in the show, truly, and I definitively never lost my love for these colourful ponies. If you're still around, I tossed a post up on FimF just now detailing my current state and plans!

I know that you don't write anymore, but do you mind logging into fimfiction and changing some of the tags on your stories? Like adding a Pinkie Pie tag to Twice as Bright? It took me ages to look for that one story because it's tagged as 'mane six'.
Anyway, nice art. I can't really give any substantial comments, what with me not being an artist, but it's pleasant to the eyes.

..Well. Okay, so I may've missed the news about moving over to Flash. Holy cookies! I assume this will speed up the comic production too? This is awesome!
(On the subject of drawing: I have found that I am completely incapable of drawing and writing at the same time, so I'm sure I'll draw a bit when I finish TaB -- before I dive headfirst into next fic!)

It's a fact that I conveniently forget.
And yeah, the Flash workflow has done wonders for the blog (seriously, when it took up to an hour to get a panel vectored in Photoshop, I can get an entire update of ~5-10 panels done in 45 mins, give or take an hour if the background is complex or not), it was a natural step that I was going to take anyway, I'm just using it as an excuse to get my puppets to a stage where I won't be limited to 2-3 poses, instead being able to use a full range of stuff.
Unfortunately some stuff will suffer due to a quicker work flow, but that has a few positives and negatives of their own. Backgrounds, for instance, I'll be able to draw a background in a matter of hours instead of a matter of days, but the quality will suffer a bit, as Im not the best with a tablet pen, yet. So while overall background quality will suffer for a little bit (NOT looking forward to the Everfree forest, haha), I'll be able to get it done quicker and easier since I'll be using a brush instead of a pen tool.
And I eagerly await the next batch of drawings! It'll be good to see how you've progressed since the last batch (also can't wait for the next chapter of TaB)!

That.. is a quite damn substantial efficiency increase, holy crap. I bet picking up Flash skills are going to come in damn handy in all manner of projects in the future, too. I'm glad! I'm very curious to see if the quality differences in backgrounds mentioned is at all noticeable.
I won't ask you for an ETA on the next update through all of this, because I hate ETA's myself, but I hope to see Somepony-arts soon!

It's like I have a sixth sense for these things. It's always a great thing to wake up to new chapters (and present company included, some good ones updated today)!
Haha, indeed, I do have a small number of projects lined up for the future, mostly for the blog, but also a mini-comic, an animation or two, and heck, I've even decided on what my next major comic project will be (trusting I ever get through this one, haha)! As for the backgrounds, well any update I've done on the blog recently (as sparse as they are), that are not comic updates feature my work with tablet drawing, it isn't bad so far, but I've yet to tackle major parts of the library (the main room, for instance), so it will be interesting to see how they turn out. For major setpieces, such as the table with the horse bust on it, will obviously be traced from the show, but backgrounds will be drawn for the most part. I guess we can only wait and see.
And I have no problem with people asking me about ETA's, I can only be truthful, but as it stands, I've not even started on the next page yet, because of this decision to move to Flash, and even when I get properly set up, there will probably be some teething problems as I decide on work flows, and start to plan out the comic with some of Flash's drawbacks in mind. I did discover that Flash actually does allow for the normal layer editing stuff like multiply, overlay, etc, which means that my interaction with Photoshop will be close to 0. It's a good thing, since it takes a little doing to efficiently establish a work flow using both programs. Heck I recently made Twilight's magic aura for the puppet, which means that there'll be less PS interaction as far as the blog is concerned.
