Just as a aside, I worked for the James Gang as a stagehand in Albuquerque. About 1974 or there about.

Good times.
The first rock concert I saw was Yes in about 1971. With Rick Wakeman at keyboards. Saw all sorts of bands in the '70s. We saw Led Zeppelin in 1973. At the time we were outraged at the price. Eight dollars! "Dude, Jethro Tull was only five!"
After high school I had a part time job with a concert promoter in Albuquerque. One or two nights a week, paid on how many trucks the show had. Kris Kristofferson only had a small U Haul, twenty five dollars. Just as an aside, Kristofferson was the only person I have ever seen booed off stage. The man was blasted! A show with Red Bone, Sugar Loaf, Billy Preston, and Blue Oyster Cult was over two hundred dollars. I think there might have been a fifth band, but can not for the life of me remember who. ZZ top and a opening act (can not remember that one ether), about one hundred. All for a job I would have done for free!

Sorry for the late reply - I've been in Japan for two weeks.
I saw Kristofferson too during the early 70's - he was drowning in alcohol back then - it wasn't pretty. In the early 90s, I was writing music reviews for the Anchorage Daily News, and I was asked to cover a Kristofferson concert - I almost turned it down, but I did go. He had cleaned up by then, and he did a great show and came off as a really nice guy - he was like a totally different person!
My claim to a few minutes of fame in the early 70s is that I was in a band (Instant Band) that was the warm-up act for a It's a Beautiful Day concert .... hooh-hah!

I was thinking about you last night. Wondering if I needed to mount an expedition to the Northwest. Call out the hounds. Call out the Mounties (they always get their man.) Get a Texas Ranger on your trail (one riot, one Ranger.) The FBI. "Don't shoot, G-man!" Really glad to hear from you.
Japan! I hope your daughter is doing well. One of the few countries that I would like to see. Nothing against other places, there is just so much of the United States I would like to see. Hate to admit it, but I have never been east of Kansas or north of Colorado. Maybe some day.
My claim to infamy? That's right. I am the man who put the scratch on Billy Preston's piano. A nice six inch gouge. Threw a tarp over the darn thing and kept loading.
I am looking forward to your pictures. Tell Zorro, King of Terriers, that I said hello.

Ahhhh, the man who has made his mark in the entertainment business!
I got personally insulted by a very drunk John Prine once.

Thank you. This was a photo that just begged to be taken. Like "Dude, camera. Now!" Thanks for all the kind replies. I am running way behind right now so I can not answer each. I am sorry and I will try to get caught up and do better. Hearing from you is always a high point in a day.

Thank you. I looked down and this picture slapped me in the face and said "Camera, now!" Really, if I can get one photo to be proud of out of twenty I am happy. Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good.
I envy you taking photography at school. I am the rankest of amateurs. Still trying to figure out what all the dials and buttons do, and all those numbers mean.
Thanks for the favorites and thanks for looking.
