Thank you! My neighbor has a old pine stump in his yard. Crazy bees male perfect round holes to lay eggs in. Very cool to watch.

Not bad on the flower, I wish the bee was a little sharper. For a large, slow insect they are hard to shoot. Thanks for the comment. Just as a note, my wife calls these Darth Vader bees.

They are that. This is flower is a small part of three or four fairly large trees, all completely in bloom. Crazy bees still wanted to fight over the flowers. The mysteries of nature!

They do not seem to pay much attention to their flight path. I had one fly into my head while I was taking this photo.

I was scared it was gonna sting me! They seem to fly agressively into eachother. Mating season perhaps?
