Few ponies could possibly parlay such short screen time into such rabid fan following as Ms. Octavia here (along with a certain DJ, of course.) The fact that you can buy adorable little mop-haired plush versions of her in the toy aisles, complete with pink bow ties, really speaks to the level of popularity she's achieved. And I admit, she's a favorite of mine for design alone, so I hope I did her justice now that I've finally gotten around to doing a drawing of her.I'm also quite fond of her countrified version named "Fiddlesticks". Will we be seeing either (or both) of them again in Season 4? I'd have to say the odds are very good that she'll be providing some music (and a touch of class) in the background of at least one episode. Will she ever be given a voice, and should she? That seems far less certain.

I'm certainly hoping to see Fiddlesticks again on the show, and I'm certainly hoping you're going to do a portrait of that butter-coated cobalt-haired fiddler as well! Even more so than Octavia, she's one of my favorite characters on the show, and became so the instant I saw her. And if Octavia can be as popular as she is with as little screentime as she has received, surely Fiddlesticks should become even more popular.
I really like this picture of Octavia, too, especially with that sly, playful expression you gave her.
