Description Improvement. Yeeeeey. I was having a lot of qualms with the previous sheet: [link] due to both the anatomy and the design. Plus, I wanted to try some new things. :]

I hope my anatomy is improving anyway. Practice, practice, practice.

I rehashed that S symbol to death. Seriously, my previous version looked like a freakin' a slice of pizza. xD I always figured that since Clark is donning a family crest from an alien planet, maybe it should look more like a symbol rather than a letter. Still, I kept the S shape so Metropolis will be able to give him the title "Superman" in the newspapers. Made the symbol way bigger this time too, because he loves his daddy.

Changed the colors just a smidge. Made the cape's underside super bright red so it looks neat when it's all sprawled out. Also the comic's original idea for hiding his boots in his civilian shoes seemed like the best way to go, so I made the boots thinner. Unfortunately, I like the belt from my last design better. xD I messed around with his hair too and put seams all over his costume.

I can draw noses now! Kind of. 8D

Oh yeah, and I gave him pockets because it cheeses me off when he randomly pulls items from out of nowhere in the cartoons. Dx

Clark Kent's outfit at the Daily Planet is coming up soon. Ohoho.

The bright red cape lining actually also provides a neat contrast from what I see. Makes the cape look more seperate from everything else he is wearing. Also, I love your take on the S symbol! Very sharp and modern, yet still so heroic and befitting of Superman!

Also when it comes to the pockets, Batman would probably agree.

"No Bruce, I am not turning my belt into a 'utility belt'"

Hnnnngh, this drawing is very old and sad looking. xD But I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Hmmm...I like the picture, enough to fave it, but there is something I would change.

Shouldn't Supes be floating in pictures of him? I dunno, that just seems more right to me.

Very interesting belt there. I like it.

He is a bit lean up top. Looks like a young Superman yet to be filled out. But loving it still

i agree with the pockets
at least batman has an excuse to pull things out of nowhere. he has the belt but come on....
on a similar note Where the @$%# dose he keep that cape when in his civies?

And I'm sure batman has hidden pockets in his hidden pockets. xP

I always wondered that too! The way I would do it is that he puts it in a suitcase he carries around with him all the time, though there's never a way to explain those occasions where he is - say - falling out of a window or being doused with flames and viola, he's in full costume. :/

exactly
i've mostly given up on the magic glasses but that cape is just too much fabric to hide under his clothes. sigh, now if he had access to an alternate dimension it would be different....
XD

All superheroes need a pocket dimension. xP

Dini, if it is possible for you to improve on anything, you have been. ^_^ You are an amazing artist. Wish I could get more lessons from you, but you live in Tucson now. D: And I am only up there for a weekend a month and while I do have time off at night, we would be going at it to the point where neither of us would get any sleep. D: And that would be bad as I work in a kitchen. xD

I'd love to give you lessons. If you want to we can do them over the web. Just post some stuff up sometime and I'll give you critiques. Or if you have questions, I can answer them via notes.

But, I don't have a way to get stuff up here. Wait, I might. I think Logan has a scanner. 0_O It is worth a short. I know it would be easier in person, but gotta make due with what we are given. xD

HOLY crap good job on the facial features mate!
The anatomy needs a bit of tweaking, but after that it's a solid picture. Good job.

You think you can point out some of the flaws for me? You don't have to, but I'm sure your insight would be helpful. And thank you so much for commenting!

Well I don't want to overwhelm you and I think you're going on the right track right now anyway. If I were you I wouldn't pressure myself to get my anatomy perfect right away. Just keep on drawing and it will all come together by itself with practise. Keep up the good work!

On the contrary, critiquing is very healthy for me. I often take certain aspects of the human body for granted. Plus, I'm always eager to improve with the help of other artists, since I hardly ever receive tips. But that's alright if you don't want to.

You're such a swell human being. Thank you very much. <3

Well, I think that it must be the size of the head, or the size of the neck in relation to the head, but something about it seems to break the drawing apart. I think that making a cartoon character anatomically correct is difficult enough as it is - let alone SUPERMAN. I think that if something about the neck or the head were corrected it would look sharper and more refined.

Thank you very much
I do what I can

Thank you for your input, ShadowMKII. I see where you're coming from. Cartoons are typically a stylized front, but I still favor correct proportions and anatomy. Thanks again. <3
