i'm well aware that the likeness is off for both characters, but here you have it: a sketch of will and elizabeth. i drew this because i was terribly upset with the ending of the film . . . and it continues to upset me.drawn from a few refs. i posted them here [link] oh, and plenty of pictures i shot of my hands. i'm not that good to work without refs, that's for sure.

Well, I think it's gorgeous. For some reason, the fact that they don't look 100% similar to the actors makes it more appealing. It looks like a character sketch more than a portrait, which is awesome. Nice job with Elizabeth's clothes

I didn't like the ending of POTC3 either. When (spoiler omited) died, I actually shed a tear and then I was all like, "THAT'S NOT RIGHT!!!!" It makes me sad to think of it...

i just . . . i'm always in the movie for the romance . . . and i'm just very upset with how the whole will x elizabeth thing ended up. not a fan of the 10 yrs thing . . . at all.

I never heard about the cut scene with Calypso and Davy, though. I'll have to look into it.
If I were a romance person I suppose I'd sympathize with you more, but I'm in the movies for the storyline, so what will be will be.

I lost interest in the movies after the sequel, so i wasn't really surprised at the ending of the finale. Did you stay for the credits for the final final end? I didn't, but I watched the clip online -- it adds to the ending (but doesn't really save the movie, in my opinion). You might wanna look that up if you didn't catch it.

actually, it was the last clip that killed it for me. if they had left it with jack leaving for the fountain of youth, i could have imagined up some thing where elizabeth gets to live forever and somehow the whole once-every-ten-years-messed-up-love-story could have been resolved within the next jack-sparrow adventure. but, they made sure i knew that ten years later nothing had been resolved. i found this, however, on wikipedia: "One scene cut explained that if Calypso had greeted Davy Jones after his ten years of ferrying dead souls, then he would have been freed of his duty: in turn, Will is freed of his captaincy as Elizabeth remains faithful to him ten years later." i'm not sure of the accuracy of that one, but my heart feels a little better if that is true. HOWEVER, that still leaves the flying dutchman without a captain and i'm really confused. so, all in all . . . . the story had no ending.
