There are plenty of headcanons on what earth ponies have that the other pony types don't, and I'm admitting mine now. Sure, science seems to mostly be a unicorn hobby in the show's time, but think about it:- The contraptions Pinkie's whipped up
- The accuracy of the Apple family's bucking
- I can't recall any non-earth-pony construction workers who weren't working on clouds
- The fact that the earth ponies are the ones with the most NEED for science, which drives creativity
- She never leaves home without it
Plus I don't want to think that the Hearth Warming Eve's earth ponies of old were defenceless against ponies simply stealing their crops or enslaving them. Ponies seem more inclined to be nice and all, but it sounded like desperate times, and my love of earth ponies tells me that they've got a few more aces up their sleeves than flinging baked goods at bison!

Cool Tanks in equestria and your comic doesnt match the one that pinkie told us fans. I thought she started smiling and her family warming up and Maud Smiled for the first time thanks to RD's Sonic Rainboom.

I didn't get that from it... I interpreted her cutie mark story as slightly exaggerated for dramatic effect, and this was done before the Maud Pie ep.

Hehehe, this is some interesting headcanon. And while you could have gone for a dark tone with this theme, the light-hearted innocence of Pinkie and her sisters makes the idea of earth pony fillies in tanks hilarious, enough so that the headcanon becomes easier to swallow. If it had been done differently, I might not have believed you! That, and you bring up good points in the Artist Comments section.
All in all, a wonderful job again! I could learn a thing or two from you. ^_^

That's true, and if Earth Ponies didn't usually shoot to kill Unicorns or Pegasi who would steal their crops, they probably did so for monsters. You wouldn't want to fight a four-headed hydra with anything less than a full-stocked tank or twelve. That, and correct me if I'm wrong here, but wasn't the death toll for ancient and medieval battles much lower than battles today? People who fought in battles were more likely to die from injuries fighting, or starvation or exposure, than actual mortal wounds. So Earth Ponies wouldn't need to blow Unicorns or Pegasi up with tanks, but outlast them.
That was, of course, before the cold blizzard winds began to blow...

Travel and lack of medical care definitely would have taken a toll on ancient armies, and no doubt food supplies too... Yeah, I suppose that, even in a violent war, earth ponies would probably last fine so long as they had a good defence and food source.

That, and apparently Earth Ponies like Maud could easily turn thrown rocks into nuclear weapons. Why would they even catapults or the like if they could hurl ammunition like that?

Is that what she studied for? I figured that she must be a M.D. or PH.D. to be part of a geological research team, but Pinkie's dialogue during that scene and the bad pun made it difficult to understand the words spoken. Is that on the episode's transcript?
