Wish: “I wish for all the luck in the world.”
Such a simple wish, yet so easily warped. Shannon wanted nothing more than his fortune to always be in his favor. Months of sour luck had him down and out. That is, until he met Mr. Dark. Shannon jumped on the chance for a wish, not taking into consideration possible consequences to his broad whim. Darkrai gave him luck oh yes. But none we wanted. Cursed with horrendous luck for the rest of his days, Shannon turned bitter and envious of those more prosperous than he. (meaning almost everyone)

Personality: Shannon's kinda....butthurt for lack of a better term. He hates talking to anyone in general. However, when he does talk, he loves to complain and nitpick on others faults. Shannon overall is pretty laid back though. He's not the quickest to anger, mainly getting more irritated than anything. He's still pretty impulsive though, betting on a whim, trying things on the spot; things like that. Being hard-headed and stubborn is also a common trait for him too.

History: Dreams never really came true for Shannon. He was born in a country town that was barely even a town. There wasn't much to do, much to see, and much to aspire to really. Nonetheless the ever so energetic buizel had big plans for himself. Be a big businessman or maybe a farmer like his dad work. All through his childhood, Shannon played make believe with friends and made big town dreams with them.

As time went on his family begun to deteriorate. Money was getting tight and stressing the parents out and other reasons never known to Shannon made a big rift as well. His mom and his dad would fight more and talk less until one day. His dad went to sell in the city and never came back. What happened to him Shannon didn’t know or care. He left without a trace and left the tween with his mom and a farm. As the years went on he had to grow up fast and help out on the farm. No time for friends anymore. But working and “being the man” gets old fast for a teen.

Shannon was quite honestly, sick and tired of farms. All it proved to be was work and responsibility. As badly as he didn’t want to go the way of his dad, he needed to have fun too. The floatzel impulsively packed a bag and headed off for the closest big town there was. When he got off the train he was amazed. All these people and all these buildings...! There was nothing like that in town. A week passed before Shannon realized he’d need a way to make money. While on the street he saw a small band playing swing. The floatzel noticed their cases full of money and quickly asked to join their band. After all the coaxing and persuading they let Shannon join IF, he learned the saxophone. He did of course, only knowing simple songs at first. He was gaining friends, money, a reputation. Things were going great!

Unfortunately, riding a wave of good luck can only last so long. Out on the town with his band, Shannon found all the “joys” of gambling. The adrenaline of possibly losing it all just to get more was an exhilarating run. The floatzel grew quite fond in poker and roulette. He begun to waver from his bandmates until he finally broke off from them. Too much betting he could do. Shannon learned of a gang that often did lots of gambling and...less than legal things. He dismissed the latter part and went to confront them about letting him in. The head honcho, Vinnie and his right hand were weary at first. Why let this 17 year old in their mob? He doesn’t know jack. Shannon swore to do all their dirty work and they finally opted to let him in. The floatzel quickly familiarized himself with the gun they gave him making quick of people they wanted him to snuff with precision accuracy. It wasn’t long after he joined until the cops were at their footsteps. When only Shannon was home. They took him to the station and made him talk. The floatzel sung like a chatot and told the police everything knew about the gang. They let him out with a warning. Join another gang, he’s getting the book too.

Traumatized by that experience, Shannon was ready to just go back to his old band and be a good kid like he thought he was. Vinnie of the gang had other plans though. He was furious about the rat. He had his boys rough up the floatzel. Shannon pleaded for a chance through his broken bones and bloody nose, but the big boss was deaf to his cries. Vin had the mob knock Shannon out and left him by the alley way. By the time he came to, the teen was sore all over and all his money was gone. Down farther than he thought he’d ever go, Shannon sat on the side of the road and wondered what to do. Right then, a tall, dark figure cast a shadow over the young man. “You seem quite beaten down boy. Tell me. What happened to you?” Shannon looked up and told the man all his woes. The darkrai feigned a sincere pity and said,”Tell me, if you could wish for anything, what would you wish for?” The floatzel was silent. Then he said quietly.

“I...I wish for all the luck in the world.”

The supposedly good samaritan smiled and replied,”So be it!” He gave Shannon a quick bap on the head before turning tail and leaving without a trace. Shannon looked around curiously and dismissed it. Not long after, the floatzel became more clumsy and prone to freak accidents. Desperate and confused, Shannon searched for that mysterious figure he met a few days before. He spotted just who he wanted about to leave on a train. Shannon flagged the man down angrily and interrogated him on what he did to the weasel. The dark figure smirked and replied there was nothing he could do now. Shannon, on a complete impulse, challenged the man to a game of roulette. If Shannon won, he’d get whatever happened to him removed and if the darkrai won, Shannon would do whatever. The game ended an hour after the challenge and many rematches, the darkrai winning each time. The floatzel approached, defeated and waiting for his loss agreements. The figure overshadowed him again, much colder than before and said in a harsher voice.

“Greetings Shannon Bagul. I’m Mr. Dark. Welcome to your new home.”
