That's because in the book said D is a 17-18 year old super gorgeous young man who can enchants not only women but also men XD And I think this repeats a lot in each book about how beautiful and gorgeous he is...Hahaha! So I have to put all my skill to draw him; not girly because he is the man of men but not brutal or wild like man since he is described as a unearthly beauty.

Always explains us, readers, how wonderful, skillful, beautiful D is. I think the novel would be very short without those descriptions about D's godly beauty and skill. But...It's because D is that amazing that makes us read this series, don't you think?

I agree. The copies are quite expensive comparing to other novels which have more pages. I usually bought them on Amazon and sometime as second hand which costs around 1-2 $ per book.

It took me a second at first to figure out that you had indeed colored it with copics. The skin reminds me of those oil paintings with how soft it looks.

Actually, I copied the sketch before colored this one. I think I'm going to try another copied sketch with other style; D with white hair, pale skin and darker lip like what Amano-sensei painted him. This would be a nice experiment and the way to understand why Amano designed him like that instead of blacked hair D like what in novel described.

Oh, it is like me with my hydro paintings but not very detailed like this. Look this is the paper which you can use with your copics.

He used a big sized paper, so he could put all the fine details in it. I've seen Matsuri Hino (Vampire Knight mangaka) painted with copic before. She also used the same type of paper to do. Actually, I like that too but it's hard to keep. I draw only in A4 size because I can put it in a plastic file bag and then in a folder to keep it.

I always suspicious markers on some arts from her, I think her style as white washing colors: cream.
In fact it is better to use large papers for necessary events such as school project, or commission, in the past I used A0 and 2m wall, the experience was horrible. 
I use you method about folders too.

Matsuri mixed new colors from Copic inks by herself 
Yes! The bigger paper gives you more place to line and paint it clearly (no dirty stain from mixing/blending color).
Wow! That's big!!! I haven't drawn that big artwork before. But have done graffiti together with my brother on the wall (legal one for competition).

Actually, only this pic which I copied it before colored because I was afraid that I would mess up during coloring XD But... now consider about it....It will be hard to color this one because it's on a normal thin paper plus the line can't be erased/corrected since it's from printer ink (T.T) Na...I'll do other art better.

Hahaha! True...Sometime I messed up almost completed arts or accidentally dropped a drop of ink on them. The mistakes on traditional art can't be corrected. So...you have to throw those in to a bin and redo a new piece from the start but every time you draw (even with reference), it would look different.
Anyway, digital art is better in this point but for me it's harder to draw than traditional art XD

Anyway, after I draw and paint many pics of D, I become to understand why Amano-sensei (the original D character designer for novels) chose to paint his hair white or blond. (TvT) I think...I might try to paint it white once in the future.
