Description Practicing atmospheric background work with Metroid! It helps that I was listening to Metroid Prime music-- including Phendrana Drifts-- while drawing this. Enjoy!

Wow, amazing! Love the sense of scale between Samus and the Sheegoth!

Thanks! Β That was a goal of mine to emphasize the huge difference in scale and the terrifying presence of the Sheegoth.

Luckily for Samus, she's got the physical strength to throw that thing if she really wanted to. Or just Plasma Beam it to death.

Great work!

Unless this is her encounter before she unlocked Plasma Beam! Sheegoth was pretty terrifying before that.

Yep, it took quite a bit to kill the beast!

Nice scene! Love that giant monster peeking through the cave rock formations. All that mist / dust flowing through it makes it looks so much bigger. Not to mention, it conveys a trudging motion that really makes it look even bigger and menacing. And Samus looks so cool stalking it. Love the lighting on her too. She fits into the dark area that separates the foreground with the background. But her highlights makes her form pop out nicely.

Thanks! I genuinely enjoyed drawing this and emphasizing different elements like the foreground, midground, and background elements. The Sheegoth (monster) is particularly menacing and I enjoyed drawing all the mist emanating from it.

It was fun drawing a Metroid scene that focused more on deliberate exploration and cautious trepidation than my usual action scenes. Thanks again for the comment!
