This is my cute parakeet, Luigi, He was one of the 6 baby birds my brothers bird (mario) and my bird (daisy) nurtured.My family has 9 parakeets total ( the 3rd one was snow white (my moms bird)).
Luigi so cute in the little doll crib!

Budgies are SO cute
They are an Australian native, I'm glad I'm an Australian
I had several budgies, one was blue and he was my brother's, this one time his cage was on the veranda, to soak up some sun. Well, he dropped something and it broke the cage, but luckily it didn't break his budgie, it flew immediately out to the horizon. A beautiful loss. Freedom gained.

I have a three year old baby cousin named Gracie who was playing with my old doll house once and she took the doll crib and rocked it and said, "I have a baby bird and I have to watch him until his parents come back from shopping!"
Of douse there was no bird and she was playing pretend, but I was so thrilled to see a picture like this! It reminds me of my little Gracie

We had a bird named chewy. She bit a lot too, but my brother let her bite him alot and somehow he changed her ways and she became sweet and kind.

yup, partly the reason I think it didn't bother my bro was because he had really hard callus fingers, so he didn't really feel anything when she bit him. Maybe if you wear a glove perhaps your parakeet might be distracted by biting the loose cloth instead...
