Description Hee hee hee...

So, this is 's epic Blurr sketch. Thanks for letting me color it, pal!

It was fun to work with different blues. I went for a kind of monochromatic thing here, to kind of offset the feeling of speed, which I hope I've achieved here. I may put in a few more color blocks in the background, as a kind of suggestion of passing forms and lit windows and such. But it's easy to let them get too distracting.

Prismacolor Markers on Cardstock, with Colored Pencil touches here and there.

All our Transformers are belong to Has/Tak.

Epicsauce. Background? Who sees passing forms and lit windows when it's a robot who RAN from Earth to Cybertron?

Thanks pal. It's not my best, but hopefully it'll do.
And no worries about the late reply -- real life requires attention sometimes, and don't I know it!
Best of luck.

Blurr goes zooooooooooooooooom! I like that you put a few color blocks in instead of many; he's speed as in fast, not speed as in...speed. XD

My Primus! He's as fast as ten fast men!

Soo shiny....so fast....my teeth are aching in anticipation of fist breakyness!

I was relying on you to suggest which Flash would be most appropriate.
I knew you wouldn't let me down!

I now feel bad again about accidently breaking the head off of my Blurr when I was a kid.

Alas, I return from a few days of not illegal, honest officer! drugs and this is one of the Pieces Of Epic That Doth Await Me

Blue Blurr is indeed blue, but he does it with style! I didn't notice until I'd stared at him for a few minutes that there are lots of other colours in there too, all quietly adding to that sense of immense speed as he comes whizzing out of the screen

The speed lines are Beamer's; I just made them COLORFUL......... Hope it's working. I wanted to kind of suggest a lot of city-ish things flashing by.................

Nice! I like how he is COMING OUT OF FREAKING NOWHERE TO BREAK YOUR FACE. XD Good job on the background and making him look nice and shiny. How you make them so shiny with markers???? It blows my mind.

I usually stary with three colors, a highlight color (that I color over EVERYTHING with, for UNITY!!1) then I do the midtones, the "real" color. Then I put in the shadows, with a dark version of the basic color. The shininess sometimes comes from colored pencils, though. I've finally made myself face the fact that I often need to tweak the lineart a bit -- those speed lines were actually in the lineart, but since they were black, they were lost in the dark background. And sometimes I need to tint black lineart areas a bit. I used to feel really bad when I did that; but then I noticed that tinting the blacks is something that ALL colorists do, so I stopped feeling bad.

LOVE!
Uh, hope that wasn't way more information than you required.

Hey, check it out now -- I got and put in a better scan. Still might tweak it a little, but less drab now.
