It reminded me of the 4th Star Trek movie. "My dear, you're not going to join us on the Nimbus?" "I'm going off to study whales, Zapp."

Marge looks so Leela-like. (that's a good thing)

Thanks! I had fun doing this one.

Marge's futuristic uniform, in keeping with the design of her original dress is just about what I expected from you. I've thought about putting Marge in a martial arts fight scenario, but she just doesn't lend herself to that genre like Lois Griffin or Rhonda or even Meg Griffin. But still, it's a cute version of Marge Simpson, even when she's brandishing a ray pistol. Well done.

Thanks! I like the fact that I kept the original colors of her outfit.

And those colors go well with her red boots.

I love that red color - Prismacolor Poppy Red. Same color as Lisa's dress and shoes. A nice crisp bright red with just a touch of orange.

I may have to look into adding Prismacolor pens to my art tools inventory seeing as how you get so many good results with them.

They can be cheaper than Copics, but Copics can be refilled, which helps on the ones you really use a lot.

True enough about Copics. On the other hand, cheaper sounds very attractive.

The other great thing about Prismacolors is their huge range of colors. I have some colors in them that I just love, like Poppy Red, Avocado and Taupe. But it is handy to have the refills for things like the flesh colors.

And the Copic flesh tones are by far the best as you've seen in my artwork.

If you got a good look at my giant Meg the other day, the bulk of her skin is Copic Powder Pink. Her highlights are Copic E00 skin white. All I did was to use a blending tool just a bit to get that melty feel between the two colors. I was so happy with the way she turned out. And you can see that when you use enough of the marker, it just floods the paper with all that alcohol. Kaspired taught me that trick - his stuff when you get to see it in person is absolutely amazing; this guy uses about 30 different markers in a single picture. I have this kaspired.deviantart.com/art/Sn… and kaspired.deviantart.com/art/St… hanging on my wall, and they are absolutely amazing looking.
BTW, if there is anything of mine that you would like to have, let me know and I'll make sure you get it.

Well, one day, if we don't hook up (which I hope we will), we'll have to do an art exchange. Kaspired and I did one, but we eventually got to hook up. It was such an honor getting to draw with this guy.

If things go well for me, and hopefully for you, then perhaps sometime next year we can hook up. And I especially would love to observe your technique as I'm sure you'd like to check mine out. And art exchanges? Abso-friggin'-loutly! And I would love to meet not just you but your wife and family as well.

I'm very glad to know that. And yes, I'll definitely save room for your Cincinnati chili, although I may insist on some tabasco sauce to put on it. I like my chili to stand up and fight back, n'yuk n'yuk, n'yuk!

You can do that - it's not really that hot. What I wish I could get you is some Tony Packo's chili and a Hungarian hot dog - that chili's got a little more kick to it. You have to go up to Toledo for that, unless you mail order it www.tonypacko.com/ On those rare times that I get to drive to Cleveland, I try to make one trip through Toledo to go there, and the other trip through Columbus so that I can hit Dick Blick's art supplies.

You know, you can order art supplies through the Internet and save yourself the bother of driving all that way. As for mail ordering food, I think I'll pass on that, although a Hungarian hot dog sounds mighty good. I had a friend who is a VA employee who went to visit relatives in Poland a year ago. When she told me about the trip, I asked if she could bring me back some genuine Polish kielbasa. "No," she told me because the last time she brought some kielbasa back for someone else, it was confiscated by U.S. customs (and the sons of bitches probably ate it themselves).

Oh, I know that - Dick Blick has a great website that I can recommend, BTW. It's just fun to look in the store...they have all, and I mean all of the Copics - not just the garden variety that Michael's has. We also do fairly well with art supplies from Jo Ann Fabrics, and get a discount on shipping. There's just something to going into an art supply store with my fancy little home made color chart; I'm a nerd about that stuff.
We tease my sister about similar security hang-ups - she buys Frisch's tarter sauce in jars here, because they can't get it in Phoenix. And, thanks to my late father, she went home to Phoenix with a whole lasagna. Her family dined like kings.

I'll have to do that sometime. I've got a curiosity about them. I just love that store...there's a Half Price Books within walking distance, and a Tim Horton's donut shop nearby as well. The place isn't far away from the OSU campus.

Nice, looks interesting and consistent with character. I think this pic actually resembles how I feel The Simpsons as a show should go now as the show is realistically not going away for a long time, and the show since the HD era has been such utter dross that the show might as well be set in the future and be as overtly fantastical as possible, the show's current format is so obnoxiously uninspired that frankly any long term change does not matter in the slightest, seasons 3-9 are so good that the last 10 years of garbage does not matter one iota towards it's legacy, the writers might as well try to be creative x

It is a fun concept. I actually wrote a treatment once where the family lived far in the future in a Jetson's style house in the sky.
