Uhm... well, for me the perspective makes clear that he's NOT taking a picture of himself.
... Funny that I definetely CAN'T see any sexual or "naughty" feeling in any of his shots. Must be because of his face... too innocent for someone whose body exhales physical attraction. Like his looks could negate all the effects of his body. Am I being too weird in my explanation?
Anyway. The perspective you gave to highlight his face (AND HIS EYES - man, how can someone's eyes look so bright and pure? *envy*), just like someone who has just stood up towards the camera... at first glance may give a pretty funny proportion of his pose (plus his cutey-clueless expression), but is was a damn kick-ass resource. This is, up to now, my favourite shot. Simple but, yet, effective. VERY effective

I must certainly am, common how can you just not love him
it's true he should shave a little bit more often, but the grungy actually does the trick in most of his facial closeups, i'm wondering now, how would he be without the beard...
he wasn't taking the picture himself, although now you mention it , it sure looks like he is
well, he's kinda shy if you would meet him, he would never take pictures of himself, he's not that prestigous and into himself... (unlike many others her on deviantart, which is not wrong)... euhm anyway

the tattoo definately is weirth seeing, I had some shot done with them, but the composition was finaly not weithly to put it on deviantart (my eye is visious, I was once told)
