A drawing of the seven Dark Jedi from the Star Wars game Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight, from left to right: Gorc, Pic, Boc, Jerec, Sariss, Maw, and Yun.Jedi Knight has always been one of my favorite games, and remembering it made me want to draw Jerec and his minions. It's also interesting to note that, with the exception of Jerec and Maw, the seven Dark Jedi are among the very few Dark Side users in the Star Wars universe that don't wield red lightsabers...

I absolutely love how you drew Boc. He is one of my personal favorite EU Legends characters for some reason.

The different colors actually make sense - most Sith Lightsaber crystals are artificially made using a special kind of furnace that fuses the hatred of the creator into solid form; creating a special kind of crystal that boosted the users abilities with the force. The Jedi have also been known to do this, using the same basic process but by divesting themselves of all their emotions until it forms a crystal inside the furnace. Advanced Padawans using the process to experience what it was like to be a true Jedi for the first time. However, for the Jedi, the practice had mostly fallen out in favor of a special right of passage for a Padawan in finding their own special crystal on Ilum. And by the time Palpatine wiped out the Jedi only a few Jedi (and Palpatine) still knew how to do this. Obi-Wan knew how, he passed the information down to Luke which is where Luke's yellow-ish green saber came from. Jerec knew how because he was a historian and archeologist - Maw was a Jedi that Jerec turned so (he too) knew how to forge his hatred into a crystal. Gorc, Pic, Boc and Yun would either have been given their crystals or found them (most likely given them by Jerec) and Sariss (even though she was Jerec's lover) built hers before she joined his cadre of dark Jedi when she was working as a double-agent with the prophets of the dark side.

A fantastic pic of the seven villains from Jedi Knight. Jedi Knight is also one of my favorite PC games, and I enjoyed fighting through the myriad enemies and solving numerous puzzles. I also liked the Dark Horse graphic story albums, which inspired me to do something similar for the format of my original future fictional stories.
I also had an idea to lampoon the part where Yun, the youngest of the Dark Jedi, dies at Sariss's hands, but not before sacrificing himself to save Kyle Katarn, who spared his life. The way Yun was cut by Sariss's blade reminded me of how Jesus Christ was impaled by the spear while crucified.

Excellent job! I like the cartoonish look you gave them! Especially the smirk on Boc. Love this game. You know, they aren't technically Sith, but Dark Jedi, so maybe that's why they don't use all red lightsabers. Still, that is a good point you made. Vader, Maul, Dooku, Palpatine, the Apprentice, they all use reds. Haven't played any other Star Wars games but I'm sure most of the others use reds too.

Well I haven't read any of the books and have only played a few of the games, so I wouldn't know that part. My Star Wars knowledge goes basically with the six movies, Jedi Knight, Clone Wars, KOTOR 1 and 2, and when it comes out, the Star Wars mmo. Anyway, maybe do one for the other dark side users or one for all the jedi? That'd be awesome.
