Yea, GIGER definatly, its also quite intresting how you have used imagery from a porn magazine as gigers work is very sexually orientated too, he posibly could have used similar techniques to create his works. dont you think?

these took about 2-6 hrs, depending on my mood and how tired i was. something like machine took me 2 months because i kept comming back to it, while the DOI series took me about 1/2 hr each

In a word ... intense... well done.
From what I have seen of the discussion - it has centered around the porno link and human emotions. However this is a very alien image. I find myself imagining an emotion quite different to its human equivilent. Perhaps the emotion displayed is nothing like we assume at all?
So many people screem Giger when they see biomechanical stuff but I like to concentrate on the differences. After all, you are probablly comming to the biomechanical stuff from a very different conceptual direction than Giger. This image is like nothing I have seen in Giger's work.... it is far more 'theatrical'... you even seem to have used a spot light type light source.
Great character study
BTW I do biomechanical work in traditional pen and ink... you may find it interesting
