Inspired by my good friend madiquin185 I also made an OC for Encanto. This is Esperanza Madrigal. She is 16 years old and she is the daughter of Pepa and Felix Madrigal. Sister of Dolores, Camilo, and Antonio.

Backstory: Esperanza is the 3rd child of Pepa and Felix, the second oldest being her little brother Camilo is 15 and her being 16. Esperanza is care-free and dreamer, encourages others to see their dreams wearing stars on her sleeve. She loves her family and proud to be a Madrigal, she is close to her family. To her Abuela, to her Tio Agustine and Tia Julieta and her cousins, Isabela, Luisa and Mirabel. And of course she loves her parents, her sister and brothers, the strongest relationship she has is with Camilo and they would often play pranks on their friends and the family from time to time. Aside from Camilo, Essie is even closer to Mirabel seeing her as someone special. The two love to spend time together and star-gaze at night. She remembered the day of her gift ceremony that she was nervous but Mirabel being positive reminded her about their amazing family and that they love her as she loves them, she even gave Esperanza a journal. It’s almost as if Mirabel knew what her gift will be like, being tied to dreams and stars. Her gift was special, she has the power of dreams, she helps others make their dreams come true. Esperanza is often the mediator and can lull restless family members or others to sleep peacefully.
