Bust ref for my NV oc! (Who I am this close to naming Sierra) I might make her hair more a medium brown, ‘cuase most of my oc’s that I actually use have dark hair. Her palette might be a bit saturated, (is it?) but I think it’s close to what I wanted. She’s Latina, Basque and Paiute, all of which may change as i do more research. She’s supposed to have a bit of a widow’s peak, (which looks weird here) a heart shaped face, (need a smaller forehead) and round ears. The skin condition you see is vitiligo, which causes loss of pigment in the skin. It affects the hair over those portions obviously, hence the grey/white hairs in her head and brows. I’ll probably refine the exact arrangement of the de-pigmented portions, figure out what’s both realistic and easy to draw. Her vitiligo is a reference to the rock coloration in the Valley of Fire. When her hair’s down, not as much white shows typically, it’s just how she has it pulled into the braids. (which is a common hairstyle for her) Not sure what that thing over her boobs is, so I’m calling it a swimsuit top.

She's very active- she boxes, runs, does cardio barre and bikram yoga, ('cause I associate both with absolutely crazy athletes) of course enjoys hiking, as well as cliff jumping and white-water rafting. I'm not sure what she does for a living, I need to do more research. She's annoyed the religeous and over-zealous Utah, but still tries to be polite. They bond by hiking, though UT isn't as in to some of the "unnecessarily" extreme activities. (The Beehive state will often try to disuade her, with anything from common sense to full blown safety sermons. NV of course ignores them all) Those, she'll do with Colorado, who she's more like anyway. However, CO is more of a "hey man, hold my beer" person while NV is often aware and calculated at any adventurous risks she takes. She's also taken NM's advice and learned wilderness first aid, much to the nurse's relief and delight. Speaking of the Land of Enchantment, the two are good friends, and like to watch shows like The X-Files together. (They texted back and forth while watching each episode of the reboot) Though she is generally more trusting of people, she's extremely wary of the gov't and bureaucracies in general. NV entertains more conspiracy theories than NM, with different levels of seriousness, and loves using the older state as a rant sounding-board. (much to NM's amusement)
