Poor Bones. A lot of people think of her as a heartless cold fish. But her line of work practically demands her to not think too much with her heart because emotions can get in the way of clear thinking, which will effect the case at hand. She wants the murderer to get caught as soon as possible.

Remember the episode when they had to examine the remains of a child? Brennan says 'You have to put your heart in a Box".

You also have to consider her background- she's blunt but that's because she thinks truth is the best way to go even if no one wants to hear it, because lies, even white ones, hurt. And she grew up in orphanages and foster homes; if both real parents were always there she might've turned out differently.

(Though I like her the way she is- she's a very unique character... I like different XD)
