Description This picture is a commission I recently did for the lovely ; she provided me with a wonderful list of subject matters, one of which was Labyrinth, so voila, her wish was my command! I thought I'd focus on the line that Sarah could never remember, and which causes Jareth's downfall.

Sadly none of these wonderful characters belong to me, but to Jim Henson, Lucasfilm and co.

Definitely one of the coolest pieces of Labyrinth fanart I've ever seen. The poses are really expressive, in spite of the simple forms. Sarah looks like she's ready to spit in Jareth's face. The simple black and white design really works on a dreamlike-level, and the idea of using the labyrinth itself as a border is damn brilliant.
I know that this is one of your older pieces, but I think it'd be really cool to see this rendered in Photoshop or as a vector in Illustrator.

I truly admire the art style and how each of the characters show their personalities in a way. Sarah is defiant and stubborn, Jareth is laid back and mocking, smug. And Toby... well, he's Toby. XD

Would it be okay for me to print a copy of this on regular printer paper and stick it on my door? I wouldn't be claiming credit, making money, or distributing it. Just personal use as decoration.

This is so original - I mean, you don't see this style very often, and it has unique elements, also... LABYRINTH! <3

He's a character from a comic series Neil Gaiman did, called the Sandman (looks like a darker version of Jareth )

OK... I was always going to like this, given the subject matter...
... but this is also very, very well done. Clever conception and graphic style, and skillful drawing too.
I suppose you're familiar with Arthur Rackham's silhouette fairytale illustrations?

Hehe, sometimes it's good to be biased. Thankyou very much. I'm familiar with Arthur Rackham, but I didn't know he'd done silhouette illustrations! I will most definitely be checking that out, cheers!

Most welcome.
Yes, do check those out. Wonderfully detailed little black silhouette illustrations.
There's also an old cut-out paper animation feature done in that style, by a woman animator... way back... I think it's called The Adventures of Prince Achmed, or The Rose and the Ring. Methinks you'd like.
