Made that one for my exhibition, testing my current skills...

Worked on it for a few days, but had a cold, so not quite sure how long it took, maybe around 20h...

Now that is pretty cool! Love the action affects and how its colored. Heck now I gotta say, those Mecha's r really dam tall and high (of course ). Heck wish I can drive 1 of those like in the future but I highly doubt we'll have that technology in 4 like (SSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO) many yrs later. I mean, thats some (HIGH TECH) there 4 ya.

Oh and also, if I think of it, the Mech's kinda remind me the Mecha's off from BattleTech and MechWarrior if u know what I mean, but even though its not and just a FAN made picture.

i played a lot of mechwarrior, still do, and in general like the style of some of the machines there, so yes, this is mechwarrior inspired, though it is not a fan pic or using any existing mechwarrior machines...

Yes, they have! ^^ btw, we have different painting styles: I usually begin with a traditional pencil sketch, then scan it and add color and BG. You paint the BG first and the main subject(s) afterwards.

well on this one... but generally i do the same as you sometimes, for example the jfgr concepts have mostly been made with trad sketches, scanned and coloured... but for a painting like this, i wanted to block out light and atmosphere roughly before going into detail..
