Description
So today I skipped my classes because I was sick, and because the light from the computer hurt my eyes, I drew.For about six hours.
This is arguable the most difficult thing I have EVER drawn. Like, no joke. I have no idea how animal joints work and Dani's pose is awful, don't even START on her legs and arms because I know they suck, and BLARGH. Just.. just BLARGH.
But I said I'd draw Sweet, chibi-style, and I delivered. Sort of. Damned Salamanders...
Her outfit (panties and tanktop) is supposed to be the one from chapter 54. Or something. I don't even know anymore.
And yeah, that's Hiei and the Black Dragon in the background looking pissed at one another.
And yeah, Sweet's tail is supposed to be supporting Dani's bad leg. Which I drew on the wrong side of her body. DFGBSE%RTU&EARHBSDYAE%S^USEZD I SUCK.
Dontcha wish your tattoo was tame like me. DONTCHA! (*kicks self for popmusic reference*)

Hands. For me hands are just the worst, and I hate all the manga-ka who draw such perfect, beautiful hands. So I draw mutants who's hands are SUPPOSE to be deformed. XD Other note: I love, absolutely love, Dani's expression. <3 She doesn't look *TWINKLE TWINKLE* beautiful, but she looks like a happy, smart, pretty young girl playing with her... demon salamander... Hm. That part's curving off the norm a bit, but. I rather like this picture.

I KNOW! I'm horrible at hands and always end up using my roommate as a model, and even then I barely scrape the grade of 'somewhat decent'.
Dani's expression was something of a battle. I wanted her to look like "OH SHIT, I'M ABOUT TO DROP SWEET", but it just went... happy. Because they like each other. BUDDIES FOREVER!

In the time that I commented till now, I FINISHED THE SWEET/DARKNESS THING I SAID I'D DRAW. XDD Sweet was surprisingly easy. Maybe because she's so serpentine and I love to draw curvy things. ANYWAY. T'WILL BE UP MOMENTARILY. Unfamiliar scanner = 'oh shit, what am i doing?'

My scanner is royally messed up, but I plan on trekking down to my college's library soon and doing some proper scans of my last five pics or so. We'll see! XD And YAY! I'll be on the look-out for the picture. You made my day!

I loved the little Hiei and his dragon being all pissed at each other, but Sweet and Dani look so cute! It's like she's holding a little dog monkey lizard...thing.
As for me drawing Sweet (my Sweet...lol) if you can send me the descriptions for Sweet that would be...well...sweet! *actually too lazy and tired to go back to the story*

Sweet is a really, really, REALLY long creature. Her body (the part between her shoulders and hips) is long enough to do a loop-de-loop or two, making her seem very snake-like, and her tail is probably twice the length of her body or more. I didn't show the length of her body in this picture as well as I wanted to, but I think you get the general idea. ^^
Her neck is also very long, as you can see. Her head is round around the crown of her skull, but her muzzle is narrow and comes to a blunted point. She has wide nostrils and one massive eye centered on her head (the eye has a white sclera, an orange pupil, and an iris so pale gold it almost looks white). Oh, and she has REALLY BIG, CURVED TEETH. They look like crimson glass, and you can see right through them (same material as her bones, claws, and Dani's staff).
Her feet (all four of them) are sort of like elongated paws with three massive claws on each. You can see them in this pic, actually, so that's a good base? Or something? Lol.
And as for colors, if you're interested: her body is kind of pink-ish, but that's because she has two layers of skin. Weird, yes, but the first layer is a bloody, crimson red, and it's slimy, slick, and smooth to the touch. The layer on top of that, however, is loose and kind of baggy, made of scaly white skin that's sort of translucent. When she moves and the underlayer presses against the outer the red shows up vividly through the white, but when she's at rest and calm she's mostly white or pink. Also, when she gets mad the space between her two skins fills with boiling fluid, so if she gets hurt the person hurting her will get blasted with what is basically lava. When she gets to this point, sheβs totally crimson colored. Oh, and as when she chased the boys, she can get SO mad that the fluid actually leaks out and sprays things most messily. Yay for defense mechanisms!

I think this is great! The complexity of the poses and intertwined limbs is really cool. Also, the little heart in the salamander's tail is a neat idea.

The limbs were what took me forEVER. I had no idea how to draw animals so I popped in the old animated version of the Hobbit movie and watched the Smaug scene on repeat for tips. XD And I'm glad you noticed the heart! I giggled when I sketched it in. =]

The filming and visuals are superb, and even though it's a tragedy (as far as the "everything is either a tragedy or a comedy" classification goes) it's still amazing. The storytelling is what gets me. ^^
