Very welcome. I don't do woodwork per se. I just had a class of woodworking that taught and gave me the confidence to use power equipment, tools, etc without being afraid with my lack of vision. My instructor does do woodwork and he has some pretty creations.

Β Power tools are scary even when you don't have problems with your sight. I have a whole bunch of them.

I tried splitting wood once with a wedge and an axe. Scared myself good when I missed the wood altogether and the axe swung back between my knees. I have trouble judging distance and have a lack of depth perception from where I don't use my left eye for much. I believe I could use a chain saw though, but never had the chance to try it. My family was scared I'd trim parts of myself off. LoL! I'm not scared to use power tools anymore. I just have to be mindful of the layout of the tool, on/off switches, and make sure my fingers and what not are not in the way.Β
