The thing about art shows is Never take it personally, either way it goes. I have had pieces turned down from even getting into a show, only to have the exact same piece take Best in Show at the next one I entered. You just never know what the judges are looking for. The very first show I ever entered, I didn't get accepted into but was given tickets to the opening. I will never forget it. The Best in Show was a black canvas, with two pinstripes dividing it into thirds. And it was untitled. *sigh*

Thanks Daryl, 'a little too impressive' I think that is a compliment. I painted this for the Sulman Art Prize, it is on with the Archibald up here in Sydney. Didn't bloody get in though.
It's quiet large so probably looks more detailed than it is, although I do like to paint realism, I call it 'Imaginative Realism' sort of one step away from Surrealism.
