Her it is another one of my favourite model Alex. This is a painting I have been working on for some time for a big portrait prize we have here in Australia and has taken a lot of my time lately.It is about a lot of contemporary subjects, growing up with the internet, on line profiling and making cyber friends on MySpace etc nudity, sexiness and being popular.
You decide, I just think about all these things and paint my thoughts, hope you like it.

I do enter the Archibald but it's hard to find a subject and not as much money. Plus very hard to get accepted.

+i love what you're doing here, the text works surprisingly well with the image and the realism is just fantastic. couldn't help noticing a few spelling mistakes... careful there, there are too few for it to be perceived as intentional and therefore appear as slip-ups, detracting from an otherwise fantastic piece.+

Thanks,it took me about four days to decide how to put the text in then another one to decide letter style, I sometimes wish I didn't get these ideas.
I'm only aware of one mistake not sure if I will fix it, I just copied her words. You have me thinking again now. This painting has to be as good as I can get it they will get around 700, 800 entries and hang 30 it's a long shot.

one was "bearly" for "barely" (it's written correctly below), the other one is "excistant" for "existent".
if it was all-out chatspeak it'd be ok, but those two just look like the painter misspelled them and that won't do

re dirty old men, I quite agree! But you know it is only about how they look, as dirty young men are apparently fairly acceptable!
It is like knitting; I spent half my life knitting and everyone said, wow you are so creative, but now if I do it they just say, 'heh heh Granny!' Tis a trifle unfair. So I don't knit anymore.. tell the truth I think I am over it anyways!

That wasn't lemon it was cheep wine I was sucking on up the back under our Claret Ash near the Lily pond on my deck chair while I dabbled on a little painting at the time. hehe
