They'd muddle up the story with extra continuity. "The Five Doctors" 20th anniversary special would have been totally wrecked if they rewrote it and added 8 more Doctors to it.
I had started a sequel strip called the 28 Doctors (or something like that) for the 50th anniversary. But just as I finally worked out my story the series introduced a whole new whack of continuity and Doctors. So rather than try to shoehorn it I gave up. I'll try again sometime.

You know, this really is a marvelous thing you've got going here. I've been wanting to do a Doctor Who comic myself for a while... and this is just charming. I love how you've rendered each Doctor, it's all so cute and likable and compelling at the same time! Can't wait to see where you're going with this. Well done, good job.
