Great tutorial this will definitely come in handy for my joker costume. Since I couldn't figure out how to use the wax.
But if you don't mind me giving you a suggestion. You could get a much deeper by first applying a couple of layers of rigid collodion.

Thank you very much! The wax is kind of hard to work with but it get's easier with time and patience.
I have tried rigid collodion and didn't really find the asthetics work well for the look I wanted personally, but I have seen some really wicked designs used with it before. It's so hard to find though! :]

And it helps to know some of the trick too.
Like with the rigid collodion it works best if you have air blowing on it for 30 seconds. Then layer it up to ten times repeating the fist action each time. I like turning my hair dryer to the cold setting to do it faster. But one of those cheap dollar tree fans works just as well.

Wow, this is totally awesome. I've only played around with liquid latex a couple of times but the wax looks amazing. I'll need to try and get myself some to try out.

Thank you! The wax can be tricky at first because it's sticky and gets everywhere but it's quicker than latex.

The wax stays on for a really long time if you really smooth it in to the skin on all the edges. It does tend to get soft and melt if you wear it while, say, dancing or under heat lights. But it's easy to resculpt and harden. I like using latex to strengthen it further by applying some to the edges.

anywhere that sells costume/sfx makeups, like Zurchers, Fundaze and Holidaze, ect.
If you don't have places like this available, your best bet might be online.
