Description Later the next morning Draco spat out Naileena and Adam. "Rise and shine you two. School will start in a couple of hours." He said giving them both gentle nudges. Naileena yawned and stretched out much like a cat would. Which was odd since she was still in her human form. "Good morning Father..." She greeted with a sleepy smile. "Good Morning my dear daughter." Draco purred nuzzling her cheek as she giggled from it. She then rubbed his muzzle. Draco purred from her soft touches.
"You should wake up your brother. As I recall he was very eager to begin school." Draco chuckled looking his human son who was still sleeping on Naileenas lap. Naileena nodded and gently shook Adam awake. "Rise and shine Adam. You don't want to be late for your first day of school, do you?" Adam slowly awoke from his sleep stretching out. Once he was well enough awake he looked at her. "Good morning Naileena, and Good morning to you, Father. Of course I'm not." He said with a grogy voice still trying to fully wake up. Naileena smiled and hugged him. "That's good. Uncle Salen loves kids that love to learn." The Boy returned the hug to her and Draco joined in by wrapping his claw around them both pulling them into his chest. They remained there for a good minute as he then let go. "Before you two leave, let me get you both some breakfast." he said. "That sounds wonderful Father." Naileena smiled, releasing Adam.
Draco walked off out of the cave and took to the skies to find his children their morning meal. Naileena with her brother watch him as he started to pace around as he was growing more anxious. She was very amused watching him like that. "What is on your mind my little brother?" She asked in a playful tone. "I'm just so excited and yet so nervous. What if I don't make any friends? What if I get into trouble?" He said in a nervous tone. Naileena rolled her eyes playfully. She stood up and hugged him again. "You won't get in trouble and you won't make friends right away. Just do your best. Uncle Salen already knows you're eager to learn and he's sure to teach you many valuable things. So relax and just have fun. It's your first day, but certainly not your last." Adam relaxed in her gentle hug. "Okay thank you." He sighed and she kept her grip on him for with her keen senses could feel he was still nervous but he had every right to be after years of enslavement.
Soon enough Draco return with two deer in tow and entered the cave looking upon his children with his latest catch in his grasp. "How cute." He bellowed that made his children notice him and looked at him with smiles on their faces. "Welcome back Father. I see you caught breakfast." Naileena smiled, releasing the hug. "Indeed I did. One for Adam and you to share and one for myself." He said skinning one of the deers and cooking it with a blast of fire from his maw. Then cut it up into slices of meat with his sharp claws. Naileena smiled and went over to the deer to eat.
She started to feast just as Adam came to her and sat down next to her as she handed him some cooked meat and he quickly dug into it. Draco just tossed his deer in the air and it landed right into his mouth which he caught and swallowed whole. Adam as he was eating kept pondering so many questions in his mind that he was looking forward to asking his new teacher and started to shake a bit which brought Draco's attention to him. "What troubles you Adam?" Draco asked. "He's nervous about his first day." Naileena said. "Oh I see. Don't worry my son. Your teacher will bestow upon you great knowledge. He understands what you have gone through so he will take it slow and simple and you have your sister right by your side my child." Draco assured Adam as he used one paw and stroked Adams head gently. Adam smiled and went back to eating his breakfast with Naileena. Once finished Draco set the two in his back and made his way to Salens den. Several other smaller dragons were heading there as well. They looked like younglings.
"Well it looks like you won't be taking your lessons alone, Adam." Draco chuckled as set down on the ground in front of the cave and lowered his children onto the ground.
"Well I guess so." Adam said rubbing his neck.
"I'll see you both when your lessons are over. Good bye my children." Draco cooed, gave both a quick lick and then took off to the skies. Naileena smiled and turned into her dragon form. "Come on little brother. Class is about to start." She said as she made her way into Salen's den. Adam slowly followed her into the cave as they went into the cave. They ventured deeper until they both saw Salen standing tall and proud among a lot of dragon younglings and when Adam and Naileena came into view Salen looked upon them and smiled. "Well Hello to the both of you. Welcome to School, Especially you young Adam." Salen said with happy voice as all the dragon younglings then turned their attention to Adam which made their eyes go wide for all of them have heard many different tales of humans both good and bad. Naileena smiled and took a seat by a young dragoness with purple scales and green stripes. "Morning Uncle." She greeted. Adam sat down close to Naileena. Not liking the looks he was getting.
"Good Morning my dear. Everyone allow me to introduce to you, Adam. He is my nieces new brother and my new student." Salen addressed to introduce Adam to all the young dragons who continued looking at Adam with different expressions and Adam felt like the world was collapsing on his shoulders with everyone staring at him. Naileena sensed the stress Adam was feeling and shielded him with her wing. "Please don't stare. You'll scare him. He's never been around this many dragons before." Salen insisted. Some of the Dragons looked away obeying him like good students should but some of them who were taught by others that humans were nothing but cattle to the mighty dragons. So one dragon that had dark black scales and was one of largest dragons of the younglings stood up and gave Adam an angry stare then Salen "Why is there a human here? They are nothing but sheep to us."
"Humans are no such thing. Not in my classroom and not outside of it either. And I won't here another word of it Drake. Or there will be consequences. Am I clear?" Salen said with a small growl. "Yes sir." Drake said with some sarcasm. Salen knew he would be trouble but he just huffed that away and then started his lessons bringing a large book out. "Now my class, Today we will be studying the continents of the world." He said as opened the large book. Naileena kept her wing around Adam to comfort him. Salen talked about how the continents were just one massive form of land called a Pangea. While the lessons were going Adam paid close attention while looking around him. Seeing the other dragons start to smile at him.
Naileena noticed this as well and smiled. She kept him close but removed her wing. Hoping no one would try anything funny. Lest they face her wrath and Salen's as well.
Adam continued to stay close and pay attention to Salens lessons. Once he was finished with his first lesson he decided to ask his new student some questions since he was paying close attention. "Adam would you do me the honor and explain the lesson I just gave?" He asked with a smile.
All eyes went onto Adam and gave an awkward smile for he never did any of this before but Naileena gave him a playful nudge to get him out of his trace then Adam started to repeat the lesson Salen had shown without missing anything. "Very good Adam." Salen smiled. Naileena smiled proudly at him and gave him a gentle pat on the back with her paw. "Good job." She whispered. Salen then turned his attention to Drake. Since he was usually a bit of a slacker. "And what about you Drake?" Drake not paying attention just studdered trying to explain but couldn't. "That's what I thought." Salen said with a serious tone "You will remain after the session is over then until you learn."
Drake just huffed with smoke coming out of his snout not only angry at that but also at the human who stood up everyone in class. Especially when humans were nothing but walking meat-bags to him and his kind. Salen then moved onto the diversities of habitats like the forest, mountains, deserts, and tundras. "Now who can tell me what habitats most dragons live in?" Salen said to the entire class.
Naileena easily answered that with ease being the top student that she and Adam admired her for she seemed as wise as Draco and Salen.     "Very good Naileena." Salen said. "Alright now we'll move onto mathematics." He said scribbling some numbers on his cave wall with a rock. Salen finished drawing the numbers after a few minutes and explained further onto what each number represented and how to add and subtract them, then onto time and dividing them. "Adam if I have four rocks but I toss two away then I retrieve four more how many do I have?" Salen asked

Once again all eyes went on Adam and he went into a quick thought to do the basic math in his head. Once he did it he spoke "I would have six sir." He answered hoping he got it right.

"That is correct, well done." Salen commented while the other dragons started to admire Adam for even though he was human he was smart.
Naileena gave Adam another pat on the back. "You're doing great." She whispered. After a few more lessons class was soon dismissed for the day. Everyone left except for Drake. Who was stuck doing make up lessons for daydreaming in class. Naileena and Adam left the cave and She decided to venture into the woods with Adam to teach him more about it but little did they know that Drake after he was finally let go furious about Adam a human being allowed into class and even more that he outdid the class when Dragons are superior. He took off after them. Rage in his eyes.
Salen saw the anger in Drakes eyes and saw him following Naileena and Adam. He knew for a fact that Drake was very prideful and today his pride had been wounded. If he got ahold of Adam it wouldn't end well. Salen got up and quickly hurried after him to stop him.

"And this is called 'Lemon Clover'. It's an edible herb that can be used to reduce pain and bring fevers down. And I've also heard that it can be used to make an orange dye." Naileena said pointing at the plant. She was currently in her human form since class was over. Adam was very fascinated by learning all these new herbs but while he was learning Naileena with her keen senses could hear a lot of rustling and it was getting closer. Her ears perked and she told Adam to hide. She changed into her dragon form and got into a battle stance. Once she transformed out of the brush was Drake with a angry look on his face. "Where is that little meat-bag?!" He roared. "He has no right to be with dragons! You're so stupid thinking that walking pile of skin is someone!" "He's just as a much a person as you and I! You're just too blind with pride to see it!" Naileena snarled.
"Pride?! Humans are murderous, they kill us in fear and sport and cower when we show ourselves. They are nothing but sheep and you dare to bring one into our life. You will pay!" Drake roared as he lunged at her not knowing at all what he was getting into for Naileena knew many ways of the ancient arts of combat. Naileena leapt to the side and throttled him. She then charged her life energy in her maw and made it into a bolt of lightning and shot it into him. Causing a tremendous amount of pain.
Before Drake could scream, She swiped her claws and tail all over his body at lighting speed and knocking him down then pinning him down while Adam watched in shock, awe and some horror. Naileena growled fiercely and pressed down on Drakes neck. Slowly cutting off his air. "Never! Ever! Dare! Come near my brother or you will beg for death to take you when I'm finished with you!" She roared into his ear while salen nearby watched and admired his niece for defending her brother. When Drake passed out from oxygen depravation Naileena got off him and took a deep breath to calm herself. She then went over to Adam and tried to coax him out of his hiding place. "Adam. It's okay you can come out. It's all over." She cooed in a very calm voice.

Adam slowly came out from behind a tree and looked at Drake then at her and rushed into her chest and cried for it was just such a horrible site and she wrapped her claws around and rocked him from side to side to soothe him. It was then that Salen appeared and approached the two. "Uncle Salen? What're you doing here?" Naileena asked. "I came to stop Drake after he left my cave with fire in his eyes and I knew he was coming after Adam." He said as he approached them "I'm sorry I didn't get here in time but I'm nothing short of amazed by your skills my niece. And I'm proud of you for standing up for your brother." He lowered his head and nuzzled hers. She smiled at the nuzzle. "I'm just trying to be a good big sister." "And you're doing very well at it. As for Drake I'll have a word about his behavior with his parents. I certainly won't let him get away with this." Salen said. "Good, if you ask me he deserves much worse." Naileena said with an angry tone with her brother still cuddled in her claws. "He's still young. He has much to learn." Salen said. "He just tried to kill my brother! Because he is human!" She yelled just so angry that her brother was danger all because he was someone different. Adam was slowly starting to calm down as he was still being held. "I'm aware of that and he's going to be punished I assure you of that. Till then you to go on home. I've got to teach this delinquent a lesson." He said grabbing Drake in his maw and walking away.
"Don't worry my brother. As you heard Drake will be dealt with and you're safe." She cooed.

"Thank you so much sister. I don't know where I would be without you." Adam said just rubbing his face into her scaly chest. She smiled and set him on her back. "Let's go home." She put him on her back and took to the skies and flew home. The flight cheered up Adam. For he was really starting to enjoy flying with the feeling of the air hitting you and feel of the clouds as Naileena flew through them. Naileena soon made it back home and Draco was there. "Hello my children. Adam, how was your first lessons with Salen?" He asked very eager to hear the news. Naileena explained everything that had happened. Including her fight with Drake. "I'm truly sorry a youngling so full of pride tried to hurt you my son." Draco said leaning down giving him a comforting nuzzle to his son. "And Naileena I'm so very proud of you for standing up for your brother. I'm so blessed to have you as my daughter." Moving onto her nuzzling her next. "I was trying to be a good big sister. Nothing more." She smiled. "That is why I'm so proud of you. As a sister you stood up for your younger brother as true member of any family would." Draco admired. Adam couldn't but smile at this proud moment and after things calmed down he started to tell Draco of everything he had learned so far.
"I'm glad you learned so much Adam. Salen is a good teacher." Draco smiled. "Yes he is. He is amazing and I look forward to going again." Adam said with glee that made both the dragons chuckle.

"I'm sorry to say it son but if I know him and dealing with trouble makers it will be days before another class." Draco said. Adam awed but before he really could get down Naileena scooped him and rolled on her back plopping him on her big black belly.
"Oh my brother, I know a place that will cheer you up. How about I take you to the coast tomorrow?" She asked. "That's an excellent idea Naileena. You can introduce him to Marina." Draco smiled. Adam has never been to the coast before for being raised in village he only heard tails of the sea and the glory of sailing it from fisherman who came to trade their catches.
"I have never been to the coast before. but you said to introduce me to Marina?" Adam asked a bit excited and confused. "She's an old friend of mine. I saved her from pirates." Naileena said. "I didn't know you saved other humans from evil people.?" Adam asked just admiring her a lot more hearing how she saved someone from pirates just like Draco saved him and other slaves from a tyrant. "We all do. It's the mission of all good dragons to help those in need." Draco said. "Wow." was all Adam could say as he just layed there on Naileenas belly just learning more tremendous facts about his Dragon Family. Draco just chuckled along with Naileena who started to gently stroke Adams back.
"Are you comfy little brother?" Naileena asked. "Yes thank you. Your belly so warm and soft like a large pillow." Adam complimented as he just laid there while Naileena kept stroking his back. "You can sleep there if you want to." She offered. "May I please?" He asked as he started to snuggle on it and the light outside grew to darkness. "Of course you can little brother." She smiled. Adam relaxed and closed his eyes. "Good night Father, Good night Naileena and thank you saving me today." He muttered as fell asleep within minutes. Naileena smiled and wrapped her paws around him. "Good night little brother. And you're welcome." Draco coiled around his daughter and nuzzled his sleeping son then he nuzzled his daughter. "Well my beloved I do believe its time for us to join him in rest." Naileena yawned and nodded in agreement. "Yeah. Fighting Drake made me tired..." "I trained you well my daughter. You make me more proud of you everyday. And your mother would be proud too." Draco said as he laid his next to hers as she put her head right onto his neck."I love you so much Father." She said nuzzling him. "I love you and your brother more than life itself Naileena." Draco said nuzzling back and soon both fell into the world of dreams awaiting the next day.

I think that this has been my favorite chapter so far. I think my favorite parts where when Adam and Naileena where in school learning things and how Adam both impressed the Dragonets and discredited that Dragon bully in school. My other favorite part was when that Dragon bully both chased and battled Naileena and Adem. Naileena knows how to kick butt. I like it when there is a young Dragon with plans against humans and another young Dragon has to save and Ceep watch over the human. Although I did not know that it takes so long for dragon's to be punished. Hopefully it is a good punishment to. I hate it when my teachers get into my personal business. What I mean by that is I am smart and know how to take care of physical bullies. My parents know it and even allow it in school but when my teachers/principle get involved then that is where they start saying stuff like "let us have a nice talk about it" and for me it is like "I tried that a billion times already and that is not working". And it means something when I start landing hits on other people because I am that guy that is against violence and try to talk people out of it. I forgot to mention that at my school the best punishment they give is a call home to mom and dad or the kids legal guardian which to me sucks because they could have such beder punishment. But anyway ya I like the story and cannot wait to read the next part. Also I am getting pumuld by my own question. Like the story so far. Good job GoldenLotusGirl. Very good job.
