Description This is just a piece of SILLINESS I decided to draw really quick. I'm working on a whole bunch of long-term type drawings, so it was a relief to just put them away for a few hours.

Book Narcissa meets Movie Narcissa. That was pretty much my reaction too.

I thought the actress was just great, but whoever designed the hair (*cough* and the dress *cough*) was smoking something illegal. I mean, WHY?

Poor Book Cissa.

I agree.
Can't the directors understand that Cissy is BLOND?! blondie, not that freaking strange mix of dark brown and platinum.I liked the makeup.But, the dress? She's a Black and married to Malfoy! She had enough money to pretty clothes for her whole life! And they dressed her up with...that thing.OF RLY? If only Anabelle Wallis were who played Cissy, and if only the men-in-charge-of-the-clothing weren't drunk when he did this...

Yeah, I was totally unhappy with Helena McCrory. She is too old to play Narcissa. I expected someone more like Naomi Watts. And yeah, the hair and costume? Did they not know WHO Narcissa was??! Her NAME implies that she's into her look!!!!

I'm not a fan of her hair either but the actress has naturally dark hair so...I guess she could have worn a wig if she couldn't have died it. . Actually, the Helen McCrory was originally cast as Bellatrix and then was replaced by the lovely Ms. Bonham Carter when she got pregnant. I've seen her on Dr. Who and I like her a lot but I imagine Bellatrix would have been very different (and far less psychotic) had Ms. McCrory not been replaced. XD

I love this. It's true. Whoever came up with Narcissa's design for the movie was way off from how I imagined her. I wonder why they thought it was a good idea.

I know right? I mean, everyone ELSE wears a wig. Lucius wears a wig, Bellatrix wears a wig. It is literally WIG CITY over there.
Funnily enough, McCrory looks way more like how I picture Bellatrix (as much as I adore Bonham-Carter's performance).

Yeah, I'd like to know why that decision was made. I imagine McCrory as Bellatrix as being more calculating (she does the calculating character very well which was what her character on Dr. Who was like). Actually, I never really imagined Bellatrix being completely off her head until Bonham-Carter's portrayal of her. I actually imagined Bellatrix as having more of a crush on Voldemort and that was why she was all simpering and solicitous in the books. And yes...McCrory was not how I imagined Narcissa...though I'm not sure who should have played her.

Haha yeah, the dress was sekritly ok (shh). But what really baffles me is that it's the TOP half that's a different colour, indicating that she DELIBERATELY died it that way.
