Ok, so I'm a sap and my body chemicals are screwed up from flu meds, but dude, this brings a tear to my eye.
Your colour choices and subtleties are incredible! I love the opacity change to the background building on the right and the sparing blur of the bricks really pushes wolverine out and into yo face!

Ah no stress yo. Hey, absolutely no disrespect in any shape or form to the first judge, but I do question his decisions on a few of the winners (excluding my battle entirely, just throwing that one out there)

Yeah, this is the second time I've joined a color battle and I can't say I totally agree with the choices most of the time. In this case I thought quite a few pieces were passed over for no good reason (excluding mine as well, I'm not crying over spilled milk
As for both pieces you posted, I think you rednring is really top notch, great impact. If there was one thing I would point out its to be careful with using such strong tones in the characters and backgrounds or in this case of using similar tones throughout. My suggestion is using contrasting tone, if the characters are in reds, yellows and orange (warm tones), try and use cooler tones in the background like shades of greens, blues and purples and vice versa.
Similar to what you did with the Poisen Ivy and She Hulk pieces. If you want a better example, and have the means, try and get your hands on a copy of DC Comic's Guide to coloring and lettering. It's got great advice
